  • Phase I

    Discovery

    We start things off by gathering your requirements and source materials. Next, a report of goals for the course, along with a course outline and objectives list (the COLO) is developed. We focus on keeping this dialogue going throughout each phase of the project, so communication and expectations are always clear and everyone is always on the same page.

  • Phase II

    Design

    In the second phase, our instructional designers and graphic designers work together to create a series of draft and final storyboards from the requirements. There are multiple progressive design stages during this phase: the Conceptual Design, the Draft Storyboard and the Final Storyboard. Along with these documents is an Asset List which contains the course's photos and othe graphical elements. When the Final Storyboard and Assets List receive your approval, they become the foundation for courseware development.

  • Phase III

    Development

    In Phase III, Intellum programmers work from the Final Storyboard and Asset List to create the animations, interactions, and other course elements dictated by the requirements. After we create the elements, we assemble them into the first comprehensive version of the course and perform two internal rounds of quality assurance testing.

  • Phase IV

    Client Review and Course Sign-Off

    At this point, the draft course is complete and it is time for you to conduct your review. Upon receipt of your feedback, we resolve any issues noted and present the course for final sign-off. Your sign-off then allows the course to move on to the final phase, Implementation.

  • Phase V

    Implementation

    During Phase V, Intellum works with your LMS vendor to ensure successful launching and tracking of the course. (Some other LMS’s are more “finicky” when you try to upload courses of any kind. With our LMS, this phase is a breeze, since we did a lot of work to make sure uploading courses was super simple.) At the completion of Phase V, you’re all set to begin training.
