Intellum announced today that it is joining with the American Society for Training & Development (ASTD) as a Professional Partner. ASTD is the world’s largest association dedicated to the training and development field. The Professional Partner Program is a new initiative designed to increase training professionals’ awareness of the many tools and resources available to them that help to advance the profession, and encourage employee learning and development in organizations.
The ASTD Professional Partner Program connects the ASTD community with companies, like Intellum, that are dedicated to helping organizations improve their performance. ASTD Professional Partners have made a commitment to provide service and content to ASTD members and learning professionals. ASTD Professional Partners will be featured in T+D magazine, online at ASTD.org, and at various ASTD events throughout the year.
Intellum has been awarded the Learning Management System contract for The Council of Better Business Bureaus. One of the Council’s functions is to support its local member associations, and the Rollbook LMS will be used as a platform to deliver training throughout the U.S. through recorded web meetings, 3rd party elearning, and custom content that addresses specific BBB needs. Full implementation is targeted for January of 2010. Matthew Gilley, VP Sales for Intellum, stated, “This project was highly competitive, and the Intellum products were compared with several other competitors in the market. We are so pleased to have been chosen as the vendor and especially to get the opportunity to work with the Council’s management team. We have several very aggressive goals for 2010 but believe we have just scratched the surface for what can be accomplished working together.”
Intellum has been awarded the Learning Management System contract for Volkswagen Group of North America, Inc. Chattanooga Operations LLC. The plant in Tennessee is Volkswagen’s first in North America and employs over 2,000 people. Intellum will be working with Chattonooga State and Volkswagen of North America to implement the Rollbook Learning Management System across all departments. Courses offered will be a blend of certifications, off-the-shelf content, custom online courseware, and on-the-job training. Matthew Gilley, VP Sales for Intellum, stated, “We are very excited to be a part of Volkswagen’s first production facility in North America, and this is a great opportunity for Intellum to work with the client and the university in building a first-class training offering from the ground up.”
The first program will focus on Anti-Trust training and was created from a collaborative effort between Intellum courseware designers and CCBA subject matter experts. A second phase launch will incorporate Intellum’s off-the-shelf vendor content, which can be accessed using a credit card from within the Rollbook learning management system.
Intellum has released its 3.0 version of the Rollbook Learning Management System platform. The new software includes several upgrades from the 2.0 version including significantly enhanced reporting options, tracking for classroom, read/print/sign, Competencies, and Evaluation/Certification, credit card purchasing options for 3rd party content, and new interface customizations.
Many of the updates were programmed using direct customer feedback. Chip Ramsey, CEO of Intellum, explains “There is a fine line between creating feature bloated software that's too difficult to use and creating software that gets the job done as simply as possible. With this new release, we think we've found a balance that provides customers with their most requested functionality without sacrificing ease-of-use.”
Along with the functionality updates, Intellum also implemented monthly pay-as-you-go plans, the first in the industry not requiring sales staff interference. Now clients can simply create an account from www.intellum.com in seconds and use the system for 30-days risk free, without any long-term commitments or a contract. Matthew Gilley, VP of Sales for Intellum, had this to say about the new option, “We speak to hundreds of companies throughout the year, and it is amazing how diverse their needs are. However, one commonality we began noticing a year ago was that many of these businesses were struggling to allocate funding for a full-blown LMS commitment. With the launch of the monthly plans, our clients can now take a more measured, affordable approach, and if we are both successful, demonstrate a proof of concept that may lead to a greater commitment.”
