With a large, global network of customers and increasingly dynamic product updates, Mindbody saw an opportunity to transform its educational experience into a true driver of business growth—one that was modern, engaging, sustainable and scalable.

Outdated Content, Limited Insights, and Rising Expectations

The Mindbody team faced a familiar challenge: frequent product updates made it difficult to keep lessons current, and video-heavy formats proved especially hard to scale and sustain. Content updates were time-intensive, and the learner experience offered limited interactivity and personalization.

Even more critical, the team lacked visibility into learning engagement and its impact on key business goals like reducing support tickets or improving retention.

To meet these challenges, Mindbody needed to find a way to:

To bring this vision to life, the Mindbody team knew the challenge wasn’t just creating newer or better content—it was rethinking the entire learner experience. Using Intellum Evolve, they moved beyond video-only training to build modular, microlearning experiences powered by 60+ interactive components—from branching scenarios and clickable flowcharts to embedded quizzes and visual callouts—making content faster to produce, easier to update, and more engaging.

They also restructured their certification program into smaller, targeted assessments delivered at key points in the learner journey to create a more personalized, adaptive experience that better met user needs.

At the same time, they tackled one of the most critical pieces of the puzzle: navigation and content structure. By taking full advantage of Intellum’s modular activity design, topic organization, enrollment prerequisites, and custom home screen banners, Mindbody reimagined how learners discovered and engaged with content. The result was an environment designed for learner autonomy, enabling customers to choose the courses most relevant to them. In-platform tools like announcements and header slideshows supported content visibility and navigation, and offered timely nudges in lieu of manual reminders.

Behind the scenes, Intellum’s built-in feedback and analytics tools became the engine for continuous improvement. With lesson-level NPS tracking and embedded satisfaction surveys, the team could quickly identify what topics resonated, which courses needed refinement, and how to iterate in real time. High-performing lessons became benchmarks, while lower-scoring ones were reworked for clarity or split into shorter segments.

Together, these changes transformed Mindbody’s Learning Center into a dynamic learning ecosystem built to grow alongside their customers.
