SCORM 1.2, AICC and LTI 1.1 support
Upload SCORM 1.2 and AICC course packages as Intellum activities, and launch LTI 1.1 tools from inside Intellum. Admins set it up and assign the content like any other activity.
Common uses of SCORM, AICC and LTI support
- Instructional designers upload SCORM 1.2 courses from their authoring tool and assign them in Intellum.
- Admins bring AICC courses into Intellum and enroll learners in bulk from a CSV file.
- Admins launch an LTI 1.1 tool from an Intellum activity and record the score the tool returns.
How SCORM, AICC and LTI support works
SCORM 1.2 and AICC packages run on Intellum’s own runtime. Admins add each package as an activity, and the activity import lists scorm and aicc as supported types. Learners launch the course inside Intellum, and enrollment records show their status and completion date.
For LTI 1.1, an admin creates an LTI integration with a configuration name and an OAuth key and secret. Admins with content-editing rights then create activities of that type. Intellum signs the learner in to the tool, launches it and stores the returned score on the activity.
How to set up SCORM, AICC and LTI support
Admins upload SCORM 1.2 and AICC packages as activities. For LTI 1.1, Intellum turns LTI on for your site and an admin creates the integration in Settings › Apps.
- Course packages exported as SCORM 1.2 or AICC
- An LTI 1.1 tool provider with an OAuth key and secret
- User and activity codes on any records you import in bulk
How Intellum handles access and data for SCORM, AICC and LTI content
- Runtime: SCORM 1.2 and AICC packages run on Intellum’s own runtime.
- Authentication: each LTI 1.1 configuration authenticates with its own OAuth key and secret.
- LTI role: Intellum acts as the LTI consumer: it signs the learner in to the tool, launches it and takes back a score.
What to know about SCORM, AICC and LTI support
- Intellum acts as the LTI consumer: it launches the tool and takes back only a score.
- Blank fields in a bulk update file can overwrite existing values, so back up with a report export first.

Yes. Admins upload AICC course packages as activities, and they run on Intellum’s own runtime next to SCORM 1.2 courses. Admins can also enroll learners in AICC courses in bulk from a CSV file.
LTI is a standard that lets an LMS launch an external learning tool and sign the learner in. Intellum supports LTI 1.1 as the consumer: an admin creates the integration in Settings › Apps with an OAuth key and secret, then builds activities that launch the tool.
A score. Intellum signs the learner in to the tool, launches it and writes the returned score to the linked activity. Intellum doesn’t take any other data from the tool.
