Gainsight PX integration for in-app guidance

Customer education teams track learner behavior and guide people through the academy with Gainsight PX tips and walkthroughs. Intellum loads the PX tag on learner pages and passes the learner attributes an admin maps. Intellum turns it on for your site, then an admin adds the tag code.

Common uses of the Gainsight PX integration

  • Customer education leaders track engagement for a conference or event hosted on their Intellum academy.
  • Academy managers show contextual help pop-ups on specific pages.

How the Gainsight PX integration works

Once Intellum turns Gainsight PX on, an admin enters the PX Tag Code and the PX Attribute Map in Settings › Apps. The attribute map pairs Gainsight PX fields with Intellum learner fields, such as ID, first name and last name.

Intellum loads the PX tag on learner-facing pages and passes the mapped attributes. Gainsight PX records behavior on those pages and can serve in-app guidance such as tips and walkthroughs.

How to set up the Gainsight PX integration

Intellum turns Gainsight PX on for your site. An Intellum admin then adds the tag code and attribute map in Settings › Apps, and Intellum Support can help with the attribute map.

  • A Gainsight PX account
  • Your PX Tag Code
  • An attribute map for the learner fields to share

How the Intellum and Gainsight PX integration handles access and data

  • Connection: a client-side Gainsight PX tag that sets analytics cookies.
  • Personal data: the attribute map passes learner identifiers to Gainsight PX, so govern it with consent tooling.
  • Attribute map: admins choose which learner attributes to share.
  • Consent: with OneTrust on, the PX tag loads only after a learner accepts the matching cookie category.

What to know about the Gainsight PX integration

  • Gainsight PX sits behind a feature flag and is off by default.
  • This integration covers behavior tracking and in-app guidance. Pushing learning data into Gainsight health scores is a separate use case outside it.
  • Tracking does not run inside embedded course content.

Questions about the Gainsight PX integration

Does Intellum integrate with Gainsight PX?

Yes. Intellum loads the Gainsight PX tag on learner-facing pages, so PX tracks learner behavior and serves in-app guidance such as tips and walkthroughs.

Not through this integration. It tracks learner behavior on Intellum pages and serves in-app guidance. Pushing learning data into Gainsight health scores is a separate use case and is not a current packaged integration.

Page-level behavior from learner-facing pages, plus the learner attributes an admin maps, such as ID, first name and last name. The tag sets analytics cookies and respects OneTrust consent when it is turned on.
