Google sign-in integration
Learners sign in to Intellum with their Google account and can create an account the first time they sign in. Intellum turns it on for your site, and every person signs in with a Google account.
Common uses of Google sign-in
- Learners sign in with the Google account they already use, with one less password to manage.
- Admins bulk-import existing users with the google_oauth2 provider value and a user ID, so imported accounts match Google sign-in.
How Google sign-in works
Intellum turns on Google sign-in for your site. People then sign in with their Google account through Google OAuth. Google passes the person’s email to Intellum, and Intellum uses that email as the account identifier.
A person without an Intellum account can create one the first time they sign in with Google. Because the Google account is the identifier, every person on the site signs in with Google.
How to set up Google sign-in

- A Google account for every person who signs in
- An organization-wide decision to use Google accounts as the identifier
